I understand what you are saying, but it just doesn't work that way. Traditions take many years.

"Tradition" is a prison, and all of the inmates are volunteers.

If you're just now figuring out that theres an ammo shortage, you're probably part of the problem.

Yeah, and the problem is since hunting season opens up on Saturday I can*t buy on Saturday so now I won*t have any time so I can*t hunt anyway. See, if opening day were still Monday that I could buy my ammo on Saturday or Sunday but now I can*t.

See, I made a new argument for having opening day still on Monday :-). I crack me up!

Mic drop/end of thread. Buy ammo on Saturday, fire your 3 rounds into one hole on paper on Sunday. That is far more than most hunters need since their optics are always perfectly sighted to hit a dime at any distance up to 10,000 yards, but 3 rounds just to show off to your friends. (The real hunters duplicate that every year with their open sights.) Then head out Monday morning to fire the 4th and final shot of the season. One box needed every 5 years...

I guess you're on year five...

Did you expect them to fawn all over you?

Not really, but I hardly expected them to get stuck in a rut.
