Get to camp on Friday
Hit the local bars and get piss drunk Friday and Saturday night without the wife finding out what you're up to
Recover on Sunday

They know when opening day is, when there’s hunters in the woods.

I don’t mind the change. I’ve been out the last two Saturdays and Sunday last year.

I also didn’t see shit, so maybe there is something to it.

From my experience working in a sporting goods store years ago I can tell you that there is going to be a lot of surprised folks this week who cannot find their yearly box of corelokts. The guys that buy a new rifle and want it boresighted the night before are in for an even bigger surprise.
