Default How does 'ignore' work with original postings?

Say there's a newer member that seems a bit trollish... I grow weary of their clickbait / controversy-inducing posts. I add them to my 'ignore' list.

Will I see their posts (not their comments in existing threads, their posts) or not?

    Just wondering.

C'mon man, try it and see. You can always un-ignore them.

Near as I can tell, I still see their posts. I just get the 'ignored' thing once I click. Would prefer to not see their posts at all.

You may have to "refresh" after adding them to ignore, but you won't see any afterwards. (You still have the option to view individual posts from the
person using the link on the RHS of the blocked post)

I used to be on Walleye*s ignore list, but I complimented him a few times (no homo), which got copied to him and now he digs me.

Negative. I have never utilized the ignore function on any forums that I've ever haunted. I have the ability to just skip over stuff I don't want to read.

Yeah, I got a weird vibe within 3 of his posts. Very odd.
I ignore them the old fashioned way.

I ignored that mollyringwald chick that used to post here. That lasted about 20min.
