Glock 17 Gen5 MOS red dot
Hi All,
just a question for those folks that run red dots on their MOS type Glocks.
- Any issues with how stable the mounting plates are?
- Any corrosion pockets visible after a few months of use?
- Did you get it installed by a gunsmith or is this a DIY kind of chore?
The most hands on i have ever gotten as far as DIY goes is installing Slidestops, Mag releases and drop in triggers.
Thanks in advance for your time.

If you can tighten screws you can handle this. An inch lbs torque wrench would help.

Re: Glock 17 Gen5 MOS red dot
Hi All.
After doing a little bit of reasearch, i decided to not use the MOS mounting plate and opted to go with a C&H Precision V4 plate. It came with screws and vibratite? Optic is holding up so far. I just need to put copious amounts of rounds through it while dealing with my astigmatism...sigh.
