Re: Springfield Hi Power?
To my knowledge the Hi Power was never made in the USA anyways or if it was, not for long or in big numbers. There are also plenty of good clones too.
As long as it is decent quality at a good price, all good.

Saw the article GunsAmerica Digest. Looks very good! I had a Belgian Browning many years ago. I wouldn't mind finding one in my Christmas stocking.

Re: Springfield Hi Power?
So what happened to the Turkish ones? They were around for like a couple of months and poof, they were gone.
Here’s my Kareen that I got right after Sandy Hook for $299. It’s not pretty, but it’s in better shape than 90% of all the Israeli imports. It was definitely well used and loved. No pitting and not re-blued, just the way I like them.
Eats anything from 115gr FMJs to 124gr HST’s. I tried some +P and it was fine, it should be able to handle them.

Re: Springfield Hi Power?
I'm hearing talk that Springfield Inc. is bringing in raw forgings from Turkey and finishing them in house, but I'm also hearing that they're doing everything in the US. In any case if these things bring down the prices on original Hi-Powers, then I'm fine with them. If they're really made entirely in the USA, then I'm interested. Especially since they take original Hi-Power mags.
