Brinks driver pulls gun and fires on would-be armed robber outside Pa. store

The Brinks truck driver pulled up in front of a Pa. grocery store only to see a gun in his face. Luckily, the armored truck driver was armed, as well.

As 6ABC in Philly reports, just as the armed suspect pointed his gun and announced the robbery, the Brinks driver didn’t hesitate. He pulled out his own gun and opened fire.

As the driver fired back, the suspect dropped his gun and fled on foot, police tell 6ABC.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. Monday outside a grocery store along the 1900 block of North 5th Street in Philly.

It remained unclear whether the suspect was shot, but police say his gun was recovered after he took off on foot totally empty-handed, 6ABC reports, adding:

No injuries were reported. The suspect remains at large.
