Default Re: 502 bad gateway ?

I've been getting these as well but it seems to happen randomly on threads, there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to which threads don't load.

    SUGGESTIONS:
Use more than one browser, if you don't have another installed, try opening the threads in "private window" mode. Both of these seem to allow me to load threads when my main browser comes up with 90+% 502's. I think this may effect certain browsers more than others. I have a ton of problems with Brave (which is based on Chrome) but the site seems to work MUCH better with other browsers like Firefox, Vivaldi & Opera.

One suggestion I have for anyone having this problem is to clear out your browser cache & cookies & see if that doesn't help with this issue. It seems like mine got better after doing this.

I do not seem to have this problem with my home computer which I rarely use
I mostly use my phone to get to this site.
The 502 bad gateway started showing up for me a couple months ago randomly.
Now I cannot get into most threads
    I have a Samsung galaxy A10E phone.
Anyone know if it is something in this particular type phone ?
I have missed about two months of threads and vital PAFOA information and insults.
I miss you all... almost all.

No, it's the outdated program that this site is running on. Log out and log back in to temporarily solve this problem.

Thanks for that reply but I remember reading that on one of the 502 threads.
Does not seem to work on my mobile
In fact now, while I can see the "What's New " or latest thread replies list, any one I try to view gets the bad gateway thing.

I'm no techie so my input is limited. Does it tell you that it's clearing the cookies? Mine does and the cookies seem to be what's causing the problems.

Dan and I had a discussion about the 502 errors a couple weeks ago.

We think it is a combination of 2 things. ...the larger threads with 500-1000+ posts AND the site-hosted photo database. The large threads query a bunch of info(and in some cases, photos), then the photo hosting is using a massive amount of server space. With threads with lots of pics, it has to pull individual photos out from multiple locations on the harddrives - which on any computer will cause some delay.

One thing that may help is: Everyone try to delete some of your older pics that PAFOA is hosting.

Myself and others have asked how to do this and have yet to find a way.

At the top of the forum where it says "Welcome, ****** Notifications, Settings.

    Click on Settings. ( https://forum.pafoa.org/usercp.php )

It will take you to another page. On that next page on the left is "Miscellaneous" under that is "Attachments".

    Click on attachments. ( https://forum.pafoa.org/profile.php?do=editattachments )

It will take you to your list of attachments, at the far right of each is a square radio box - check the ones you want to delete.

Then at the bottom of that list is the "Delete Selected" button.
