I am SHOCKED!!! So Cliff Notes...does this mean any/all autos are legal for carry, or just possession? What about double edged knives?

It means that, at a State level, it's not illegal to posses or carry one with lawful intent. However, this does nothing to stop local municipalities from making their own laws outlawing automatic knives from possession and/or carry. For instance, you still cannot carry a knife of any kind in Philadelphia unless you're actively using it for a trade. And since we have no preemption for knives, it will vary from town to town, and most do not have their knife laws readily available on their sites.

Also, this does nothing to define what qualifies as an automatic knife. Is it strictly a push button style action? A spring assisted mechanism? A gravity mechanism? OTF? OTS? Who fucking knows?

So good luck with carrying your newly "allowed" automatic knife in PA.

Preemption is certainly a fight that needs to be fought. That said, today we won one. Take the victory.

This isn't a victory, it's a pacification. And if Shapiro wins next week, don't expect anything more for a long time.

I'm still not expecting too much more whether he wins or not.
