Bladeops has a bunch of microtechs in stock. Just looked and there were 8 pages showing about 50 knives per page. They are an authorized dealer and legit.

Ordered my ultratech, pretty pumped. Was unsure between the full size and the Utx85 but leaves the door open for the 85 in the future I suppose.

^congrats. I've had the bug for a while adding auto knives to my collection. I usually buy from blade hq or knivesshipfree but both are running low. I just checked out bladeops that Delkal posted and they do have quite a few. I'm considering the Microtech UTX-70 Hellhound OTF

I see that some manufacturers have the switch on the narrow side and some on the wide side. Preference opinions?

Without feeling the ergos in hand, I'd say the wide side.

I ordered from BladeHQ as they had what tickled my fancy (OD green D/E, apocalyptic blade) and before I saw Delkal's post, but BladeOps doesn't charge tax...

I've been carrying my Benchmade Infidel for a couple of weeks now (Wide side) and I think that the narrow side actually makes more sense. With the narrow side once you pull the knife out the blade side will already be facing what you want to cut.

It was a bit awkward getting used to the Infidel because you have to rotate it into a cutting position unlike a regular spring assisted folder or narrow side OTF.

Figures I bought a manual Socom Microtech before this law passed, I'm trying to find a Microtech Socom Auto folder as I think that may actually be the best carry and daily use option.

I think the narrow side is more "natural" and makes more sense.
