according to our contracts with the promoter, we must be setup for all show hours on all days.

Set up , how about present? I've been to Friday shows where tables appeared to be set-up , but were covered with no one there.

our contracts state that we must be set up for all hours of the show and that we must remain open during all show hours as well. sorry if I wasnt clear on the verbiage of a contract between dealer and promoter. it is important to know that sometimes things dont go to plan, dealers travel hundreds of miles to get to the show, traffic, hotel check in times, time constraints, etc. ive been to the oaks show on Fridays where the public is absent as well. but I will also say I have been to some shows where the public isnt there at all un a Saturday which made dealers become absent on Sunday. but, I paid for the van, the hotel room, the tolls, the gas, the meals, and everything else so I will be there all weekend.

totally understand this, but one hand feeds the other. the promoter needs actual gun dealers to attend. the gun dealers need the promoter to advertise and bring in the public. I spend over $1200 just to get to the show so im sure to be open for all hours. however, I see some dealers who aren't selling pack up or close up early....cant blame them for doing so if the buying public isnt in the building. its a tough market right now for dealers and I can completely understand dealers not able or wanting to do shows right now. with gun shows scheduled for every weekend this month, the last two weekends are in doubt. I may need to drop one or both because stuff just isnt available right now unless you want Smith and Wesson polymer hand guns.
