I'm actually surprised this chain recovered from that prolonged food poison thing they had going on. Same sort of thing happened to Chi Chi's - a Hep A outbreak at one of the Shitsburgh locations and they went belly-up over it. They were big, too, seemed like they were everywhere, even had one on base overseas.

Well, I've never eaten at one and have no plans to in the future. When that whole food poison business was going on, they were building one near me then stopped construction for a while. They eventually finished it and it opened but damned if I'm gonna eat there...just in case.

Someone gave my wife and I a gift card for Chipotle. When we went in she looked at the food in the serving bins and said, "I'm not eating that." and walked out.

My kid worked at Chipotle for a couple years. Left almost entirely because of the exact dynamic here: 1) their underpaid 20-something managers were incompetent, couldn't keep their underpaid teenage employees, so chronically understaffed, so chronically overworked... rinse and repeat and 2) their too-often shitbag class of customers had a bad tendency to abuse/threaten the workers any time they didn't get the ass-kiss service they wanted.

That's the one I was at a few weeks ago. I call them "Surprise Market Trips". Groups get together, rent the van and then go to these markets to surprise a friend there. Then we bring the friend home.
