If you're looking for an OWB leather holster with a snap thumb break, I have a few DeSantis holsters you could try. I live about 10 mins from you (if your location is current).

No one is going to notice the bottom of the holster - carry on.

Occasionally I'll carry a setup that prints so much it's comical. Like full size pistol under a relatively tight t shirt. I highly doubt anyone would ever notice because you'd really have to be looking for longer than a glance.

If I remember correctly, it's from these guys. I have others from them too.

For leather I use 1791 gun leather.

I have been carrying OWB concealed every day for the last twenty five years. Desantis or Galco Cop 3 slot leather with thumb break. Comfy, secure, flat.

Plus 1 for 1791 gun leather. Very well made leather holsters

I carry a full size 1911 IWB as my EDC, and rarely cover it except for legal or employment reasons. After 8 years I can count on my hands the number of times it's been noticed *out in the open*, and 2 or 3 of those were by children who had it closer to their eye level.

¼ or ½ inch of plastic around today's clueless population isn't something I would personally worry about.

I carry OWB way more than IWB. I just find it more comfortable. And I agree with those saying no one will notice that little extra plastic.

Same if I'm not pocket carrying. I use Alien Gear holsters for OWB.
