Default Looking for 1911 gunsmith in Pittsburgh

I have a Kimber 1911 with a tight chamber. I'm looking for a smith who can ream/clean up the chamber. I would normally have gone to Economy Gunsmith over the years but they are no more. I live in the North Suburbs of Pittsburgh. Thanks for the help.

    Mike

Send Kimber an Email and inquire about getting it opened up , or replaced.

Unfortunately It's out of warranty. I'm the second owner and it's past the one year

Given Kimbers level of customer service , I don't think it would matter.

OTOH , a 'tight' chamber is generally preferred. Are you using reloads? Could be the problem.

The issue was with 4 different factory rounds I tested but as it turned out, my terminology was wrong, it was the throat. On a good note, I found Hallston Custom Machine in Slippery Rock PA today, called John Vincent (Owner) and went straight to his shop. He checked the gun while I was there, asked if I was in a hurry and fixed on the spot. He reamed the throat, did some polishing and away I went. Very meticulous gentleman and incredibly reasonably priced. It's not often these days that a business exceeds your expectations!!!
