Carrying in Delaware
I have a question about carrying in Delaware. I read in the past Delaware will not recognize any non resident carry permit. I'm a PA resident with a PA LTCF, no other carry permit. Is there anyway I can carry in Delaware? I heard open carry is fine, including in car. I'm planning to do some shopping there with the family.

Re: Carrying in Delaware
Hi Will, you have received bad information, as DE recognizes multiple states.
I lived in DE for 31 years (held the DE Special License while there), just recently moving back to PA.
I obtained a Utah non-resident to be able to once again carry in DE (a 4 hour class, very simple).
I will attach the information direct from the DE AJ/DOJ page which spells it all out.

Good luck in your search!
PS, I am originally from H'dale!

Yes, as stated multiple states are recognized but DE.
I guess the link I posted isn*t able to be seen(?) so I*ll post this, the list of recognized states from the DE AG/DOJ page.

Re: Carrying in Delaware
In a car in DE, and without a recognized LTCF/CCW, the firearm must be on the dash or on the passenger seat.

Re: Carrying in Delaware
Be advised, local ordinances prohibiting OC or requiring a permit to OC are still in effect if they were enacted prior to preemption being enacted, unless the municipality has since struct such measurements. DE's preemption law grandfathers prior local ordinances.
Also, you would have to stay more than 1000FT from any school per federal law.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515
