Not really. Well, look whats going on around us everyday, I wouldn't doubt it.
I'm pissed though, and so are the local establishments. That time of year was
big money for them, not any more.

I still go to camp the day after Thanksgiving. I still buy gas in Smethport. I still buy a pizza from Fox's. I still go to the hardware store to fix things up at camp. I still go to the local grocery to buy food items, toilet paper etc.... I still stop at the the local convenience store for cigars and bags of ice. What local establishments SUFFER because deer opens on Saturday? The only answer can be a small town bar that usually sees four or five shot and a beer guys a day. What am I missing??????????????

Yeah, but why can't you do that? You can still stay until Wednesday and party. Hunt Saturday, drink, recover Sunday. Go in with your normal routine. I don't get why everyone has to go home. I used to stay all week when I could.

No noise, no riding, nothing. People get pissed if you do that during the season.

One day I was sitting in a nice spot before sun up when soon afterwards , two youngsters came rumbling thru the woods with all kinda gear. Coolers , chairs , 1-man tent-like 'blinds' and a boombox radio. They set up camp probably 400yds away , and I could hear them and their radio. Started getting like that far too often , and I soon stopped going opening day!
