Default Sphinx SDP or Sig M11-A1

I'm torn between two like new pistols. Both I think are good deals. I've always loved my Sig's but a Sphinx would be cool - this one made in Switzerland - I believe they are made Stateside now by Kriss?. Both with all original stuff. M11-A1 has G10 grips. Sphinx high $500, Sig mid $600. Don't say both And yes, I know it's what I feel/want but just curious ...........

SIG, but then I have a bias towards the older P-models, and the M11-A1 is quite similar to a P228 which is my favorite SIG; I have several and my heirs will have to deal with them.

I had a SIG M11_A1 a couple of years ago. It worked well and is good SIG product. The bad; no rails and you have to be careful buying magazines because they take 229-1 mags. Holsters are harder to find since most gun shops carry stuff for the SIG 229. That*s why I sold mine and upgraded to a SIG 229 legion.
I never owned a Sphinx. However since they were bought by Kriss they don*t have the Swiss made reputation. Secondly they are not very popular in gun stores especially with all the similar CZ handguns and clones out there. I suspect getting accessories will be really tough and may affected the resale value.

My vote is for the SIG. And if you really want to expand your capabilities get a 229 with all the bells and whistles including one that has an optic cut in the slide.

I'm gonna be the odd one out and say go for the Sphinx. Sphinx I think went out of business (though they are producing updated pistols under a different name). You can't get the original SDPs anymore though.

The Sigs they're still pumping out. Now if it were German P228 vs Swiss SDP, that'd be a bit harder.

Easy choice, Sig. The M11 A1 should have three mags with it. If you don't buy the Sig give me the address so I can go pick it up.

I vote for the Sphinx. I like unique and different. Everyone already shows up to the range with a Sig or Glock... but you'll be the only one with a Sphinx. ...not knocking others' choices. Sigs (and Glocks) are reputable, you'll find accessories to go with them, and etc - and there's something to be said for jumping on the bandwagon. But again, *I* tend to go against trends and like to find hidden gems among the unique and different. ...that being said, I don't know anything about the Sphinx but would go that way purely to NOT follow the crowd.

Could also get the German P228 they have too for the same $ as the Sphinx - I hate decisions - lol.

228 for under 600 (if I understand you correctly)? No brainer...

I was so close to grabbing it. Seemed just like my P6. Only bad was someone replaced sights with some higher large dot and made it look goofy to me And yes, under $600.

I'd go Sphinx. I'm probably jaded because I always wanted one, but never pulled the trigger on one.
