Default Question re: Draco NAK 9

I recently purchased a Draco NAK9. Attempting to replace the factory wood handguards with Magpul MOE's and finding it impossible to remove the lower piece.
The small lever that loosens the retaining piece (sling mount) refuses to rotate upward no matter how much pressure is applied.
I've replaced handguards on several AK variants that I've owned over the year. This one has me stumped !

Pry it up with a screwdriver. The handguard is probably slightly too long so they forced it into place.

    Thank for your reply.
I've used screwdrivers and vice-grips. It absolutely will not buge.
Can't find a way to loosen the fastener on the other side of the front sling attachment that the lever connects to.

You could use wood as a punch and tap the retainer into the handguard it may shake it loose. The lever is flared on the other side almost smashed like a rivet.

While you're answering my questions, let me ask another.
Do you happen to know the size of the rear sling swivel nut.
I'd like to add a brace and apparently will need to grind down a wrench to access the nut. I'd like to avoid grinding multiple wrench.
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry I don't know that one, I have the rifle version (rak) so never dealt with it.
