How many spare mags do you carry?

8+1 in the 5" 1911 at 3/3:30. 2x8 at 9/9:30. 25 rounds of 230gn goodness.

Most of the time, 1, sometimes 1.
Definitely situational.
But I would rather have more than enough than not enough.
Or as someone said, in case the one in the gun malfunctions.
I carry either a full size 1911 (8+1) or a XD service model (4 inch) 16 +1

For church I always carry a spare mag in case of a church shooter

A quick run to grab pizza, no spare.

Running errands all day, most likely a spare

My EDC is a Hellcat RDP with 15 + 1 rounds, most of the time that's all I have on me but keep a few spare mags in the vehicle. If it's around holiday seasons, special events or bigger spaces I'll typically put an extra 15 round magazine in my pocket.

I was thinking... I drive a vehicle that has a main big gun, two 7.62 machine guns, and is armored. I have an M16 next to me and an infantry squad in the back to defend the vehicle..... if I am ever using that hand to hand ninja training in combat many many many things have gone very wrong already.

90% of the time, +2 mags (13 or 17 round depending on what I can effectively conceal).

Philly? +2 mags, spare BUG, and more in my backpack.

To each their own. I carry as much as I can effectively. If I could hide an AR or MP5, I'd carry that!

I currently carry an HK P2000SK in 9mm. Great shooter for me. I keep 2 extra mags in my vehicle.

Funny your post follows mine. That's close to my primary carry which is a HK P2000 9MM V1 LEM. 13 round mags when I need the smaller size, and I do the "new" 17 round with an X-Grip plus 2x17 spare when I can afford the extra room needed. I have a P2000SK as well if I need to go smaller.

If you like the P2000SK, I bet you'd love the P2000...
