My second thought was, "Oh well, I guess I'll never have one."

My third thought was, "HEY! They will be selling the UPPER by itself! I could just buy an upper and use an existing lower!"

    Woo-hoo! There is hope!
I'm liking that 3rd option myself. Didn't realize it was even an option, figured it required a dedicated lower.

Not yet, but sounds like it will be available at some point.
    From the link I posted...

Q: The upper you've created - does it require a unique lower?

Paul Noonan, FM Products - Uppers will be available, and you can use any lower.
We created a Picatinny adapter that attaches to a lower to accommodate the upper.
Of course, you'd need to take off the buffer tube. Any upper we sell will come with that adapter.

Hope it's a simpler design than Olympic Arms had with the OA-93.

That being said I did have a bufferrless OA-93. I liked it overall but sold it because it was a 6" 5.56 pistol.

Like the 1911A-1 and the .30 Carbine. Modify it until it is just an unrecognizable collage of aftermarket parts.

Damn, makes me wish I wasn't so broke currently or that I could sell one of my 9mm and AR pistols to pick of of these beauties up.

It really isn't a bad price considering it's not your run of the mill AR15.
Could you build a bare-bones AR pistol for less? Sure.
Could you build an AR pistol using hand-picked, better-quality parts for less? Eh... maybe, but more likely it would cost about the same.
Would either of your builds have no buffer tube? Nope.

You can get the pistol upper alone for $449.95
