No but lying on a 4473 is a federal offense of perjury and throwing a pistol in a dumpster is against the law.

not only was the weapon issue something that'd have anyone else put away for a long time, the laptop was filled with illegal activities.
    drug use, incest, pedophilia.

on a side note, was the rochester mayor not recently caught with illegal weapons and drugs because her husband (supposedly unbeknownst to her) was a drug dealer?

Smart thinking on his part. He doesn’t have to move them from firearm to firearm. One for each gun.

Searched for a while, can't seem to find anything that indicates party affiliation.

    Yup.

Postal inspectors were involved in the investigation? Yea, sounds to me like a lot of those “unregistered assault weapons” were definitely home builds. Completely legal under federal law, but no doubt they will spin this whole thing to further the anti gun agenda.

Now the forgery charges OTOH, cant really comment on that. I still suspect there is more to the story since it stated he is a part time court officer, i could see those being legit IDs up to the point he gets fired/quits. if he didnt return them then its not really forgery, the id just becomes invalid and not a crime to possess unless he tries to use them. IANAL and im speculating here, im sure more will come out. I smell a wet rat

It's NY state. 'Assault weapons' and 'silencers' are both illegal for possession by 'civilians.' All firearms need to be registered with the state. Throw in the fake court officer documents. I'd say he's in for a world of hurt.

And since the article speaks to federal charges, I'd say he likely made the suppressors on the down low.
