Thumbs down An idiots idea HB 1831, 1832, 1833, 1834

Instead of posting the usual information for these which you can easily find online with the bill numbers I'm only going to post Isaacson's Memo:

    House of Representatives
    Session of 2021 - 2022 Regular Session

    MEMORANDUM
    Posted: August 19, 2021 01:56 PM
    From: Representative MaryLouise Isaacson
    To: All House members
Subject: Imposing Republicans' Voting Restrictions on Firearms

Every year, nearly 1,600 Pennsylvanians’ lives are lost due to firearm violence, and every year, Republicans and the National Rifle Association block firearm reforms that are proven to save lives without compromising the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens. However, when it comes to the 2020 election that countless reviews and court cases have proven to be free and fair, Republicans have decided that a number of outrageous voting restrictions are needed, arguing that these restrictions would not infringe upon the voting rights of American citizens.

If these restrictions truly do not infringe upon Americans’ right to vote, then surely these same restrictions will not infringe upon Americans’ right to bear arms. For this reason, I will be introducing legislation to ensure that many of the same voting restrictions that Republicans have been working to pass will also apply to firearms.

Please join me in protecting Pennsylvanians from gun violence while shining a light on the blatant hypocrisy of Republican voting restrictions.

Document #1 – The first bill would require that all purchases of firearms must be a face-to-face transaction between the seller and the purchaser and must occur in the place of business of a licensed seller or county sheriff’s office.

Document #2 – The second bill would require that individuals must deliver the application/record of sale for a background check in-person to a Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) station, with exceptions for individuals with a disability. It also requires that all incomplete or inaccurate applications must be rejected, and the applicant must wait 14 days before resubmitting.

Document #3 – The third bill would require that all concealed carry permit applications be submitted in-person, with exceptions for individuals with a disability. It would also require that all incomplete or inaccurate applications must be rejected, and the applicant must wait 14 days before resubmitting.

Document #4 – The fourth bill would permit observers to witness the processing of background checks in the PSP’s Instant Check Unit as well as to witness the processing of concealed carry permit applications in the county sheriff’s office
This shit-ass has done no more than PROVE that she knows NOTHING of either existing or proposed voting laws or existing federal and state firearms law. Yet "people" are stupid enough to elect her!

Texas has it right, put the gun grabbers off balance throw anti abortion laws at them and make them use all their time resources defending killing babies instead of grabbing guns.

OK, then we can require all would-be voters to pass a background check, and exclude all convicted criminals, anyone with a warrant, anyone with a PFA, anyone who smokes weed, anyone with a history of mental illness . . . heck, that excludes most of their base.

BTW, the corollary to "voting in person" is not "making a second trip to the only PSP barracks in your county", it's "showing up in person to get your gun", which we all have to do anyway. We haven't had mail-order guns for non-FFL's since 1968.

She has done a marvelous job of proving she does not know or understand the provision of either Federal or PA gun law.

Reps from Philly show how much they know when they voted to make already illegal dirt bikes illegal on public streets!

Not every county has a barracks.
