Sig P320 Lawsuits
Detective sues Sig Sauer after she says her holstered P320 handgun nearly killed her
Sig Sauer's P320 is widely used by police departments across the country, and is a big seller in the civilian market, with about half a million sold nationwide.
Hilton’s $15 million lawsuit said, “there have been 54 reported uncommanded discharges of the P320,” meaning the gun went off by itself, over the last five years in 22 states and Washington, D.C.
There are currently 10 pending lawsuits against Sig Sauer for this particular firearm, all alleging the gun went off on its own. A number of those suing the gunmaker said they are in law enforcement with extensive firearms experience.

"A number of those suing the gunmaker said they are in law enforcement with extensive firearms experience."
I would take that comment with a grain of salt. I have know a good number of LEOs, not just in PA but also in MI, ND, KS, CO, NJ, DE (places I have been stationed in when I was in the USAF) that WERE NOT well versed in firearms, either shooting them or knowing much about them in general. MANY, and they told me, never fired their weapons other than to qualify and talking to other LEOs who also knew them said they barely qualified (inferring pencil holes in target)
Lets see, 500,000 sold, 54 reported uncommanded discharges - 0.0108% chance of it happening. Now it very well could happened, stranger things happen everyday. 54 reported and only 10 lawsuits - I guess SIG already took care of the other 44.Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member

Xringshooter sez: "MANY, and they told me, never fired their weapons other than to qualify" Common in the military also. With the possible exception of Infantry troops, after Basic and AIT, the only marksmanship training they get is their annual qualification.

Re: Sig P320 Lawsuits
The P320 can only fire when the trigger goes to the rear. Whether that's intentionally or unintentionally the gun doesn't care and firing at that point is still the correct operation. It has a striker block just like every other striker fired gun.
The cop with a Serpa in her purse I'm going out on a limb to say her ND was her fault.
