Are filters like these: F129912~p.eps-650.jpg worth having.
    Pore Size
    0.2 μm
    Flow Rate

That would be pretty worthless as a water filter, it would take you forever to filter enough to even get a swallow.

A 0.2 *m filter will get rid of most of bugs but it is not 100% for bacteria. But like streaker said it will be a lot of work to get a drink. i can't tell by the pic how big it is but i will guess 1/2-3/4 inch max. and they fit on the end of a syringe. I use these often in lab but just for small samples. You would wear your thumb out for a cup of water.

My well produces muddy, iron-laden, sulfur tasting water.

I start with a 5 micron string filter, then a 1 micron filter, then a water softner, then a chlorine tablet injection system, then a charcoal filter.

Good water comes out of my tap.
