Default Hunting from a blind in state game lands.

It has been along time since i have been hunting, almost 23 years. I have made a pledge to myself to get back out there. I will most likely be going to Rickets Glen and Red Rock Mt. I was planning on getting an el cheapo blind to get back into it. my question is, 1. is this a bad idea? 2. are there any helpful pointers? I know about the blaze orange requirements for blinds and that i can set it up 2 weeks before deer season.

Unless you plan on battling rain, forego the blind. They limit your ability to see enough that I think you are better off standing by a large tree.

Blown down trees work real good.

    Nobody steals them!

If is is not taken, someone else will be in it when you get there.

I would not do it on public land, even with an orange flag on top.
