Sen. Jake Corman Fires Mastriano's Staff

Pro-gun Senator Doug Mastriano (R-33) needs your help.

On Friday, August 20th, Senate President Jake Corman arbitrarily and capriciously removed Senator Doug Mastriano from his role in leading the 2020 election forensic audit investigation and assigned another Senator to take his place.

But the story gets worse. After threatening to remove Senator Mastriano's committee chairmanship, Corman went on to fire Mastriano*s entire Capitol staff. That's correct, he stripped Sen. Mastriano of his staff--essentially shutting down his office.

Take a minute to watch this OAN interview, where Senator Mastriano explains how Senator Corman has been obstructing his efforts to ensure fair elections for all Pennsylvanians.

Make no mistake about it, Senator Corman's actions are designed to castrate and silence Senator Mastriano's advocacy for the people of Pennsylvania. Moreover, this was an attempt to humiliate a decorated combat veteran and retired Army colonel.

These actions by Corman could also affect your Second Amendment rights.

Senator Mastriano is the prime sponsor of SB 624, the Right to Bear Arms Protection Act. This bill would forbid state cooperation with any new federal gun control promulgated by the Biden Administration. But Corman's vindictive actions make Senator Mastriano persona non grata within the Republican Caucus, jeopardizing the success of passing this critical bill to protect Pennsylvanians from federal gun grabs.

That's why I need you to contact Senate President Jake Corman and your state senator. Let them know that you are outraged at the humiliating and malicious actions taken by Senator Corman and demand that Senator Mastriano's staff be restored immediately.

This type of behavior cannot go unchecked. We have to remind Senate President Corman that he is accountable to the people. We elect representatives, not petty dictators who throw tantrums like spoiled children when they don't get their own way.

So, please click to take action and send a message to both Senator Corman and your state senator. Let's stand behind Doug Mastriano as he stood with us in 2020.
You can also call Senator Corman's Harrisburg office at (717) 787-1377 or his district office at (814) 355-0477.

Call or email, but please urge Senate President Corman to reinstate Sen. Mastriano's staff at once. Please remember to be polite but firm when you call.
