Most of the sound from a gun is due to the expanding gasses leaving the muzzle, hence why that's the end the muffler gets screwed on to.

I understand the answers that were given, but, to me, this doesn't seem to be a shotgun that you'll be taking to the skeet range and have all your eye and ear protection on. To me, it would be a defense weapon and in the middle of the night are you going to grab and put on ear protection and then grab the gun? Yes, the majority of the noise is coming out the front but both the chamber and the muzzle are a lot closer to your ear(s). Sorry, MY opinion is it looks cool but how useful is it on the average? I'm sure it will sell but after the coolness wears off, will it just become a dust gatherer?

I don't know, I am perfectly content for all of my defensive firearms to never be anything besides dust gatherers.

Close quarters room broom. Probably higher quality then those Turkish imports a lot more money too. Maybe the illegitimate government will hand these out with black hoodies to newly arrived Afghan interpreters.

Looks like the gun that the Rock was waving around in Doom.
