Re: Spotted an open carrier in Franklin, PA
Tobyhanna Pa. At a yard sale spotted a O/C guy with a Glock 43x ,I was concealed and so was the yard sale Lady selling goods . we engaged this gent in conversation and firmly believes by O/Cing no one will mess with him ! Further we said why give anyone the notice your carring where your the first target ? He was stuumped and being in his 80s probably is not the fastest to respond to any altercation ! I DO say its all legally firearm carriers that to OC or CC is their own choice .I was a big O/C guy but age and health make me a bit slower thn my younger days ,Unless its abox of donuts at Regional ! Re: Spotted an open carrier in Franklin, PA
Back when it was almost impossible to get a concealed permit in PA, I did "Open carry" when trapping. I often stopped for doughnuts or at a Diner and nobody ever really took notice. But, I never always turned with my gun facing the most people or made a "Show" of getting it comfortable when sitting at a table or on a stool. Marine Division Two has a valid point. Although this guy seemed responsible, I also was thinking how easy it would be for someone to take it away from him. We were in the plumbing isle and it was full of pipes, wrenches and all manner of club like objects.

Re: Spotted an open carrier in Franklin, PA
Exactly like those. I was in a 7-11 one morning getting coffee soon after the laws were relaxed on CC in PA. This guy came in with what looked like a 1911 stuffed behind his belt right at the middle of his gut. He reached down to a lower shelf and it fell out and skidded about 4 feet across the floor and stopped in front of this terrified lady. He never even apologized to her.

I would be ok with a law that says if you are going to open carry you MUST use a level 2 holster at minimum.
