Re: Spotted an open carrier in Franklin, PA
LOL A guy said so online, so it must be true!
Dude, he describes the mechanism of failure perfectly, and then shows it happening in slow motion! It's right there in the video for everyone to see. That could not and does not happen with other holster designs. But I know nobody's mind will be changed by this argument. I guess it's Scott Adams' "two movies on the same screen".
Anyway, it was a young guy in Franklin. He's probably never even heard the argument.

Re: Spotted an open carrier in Franklin, PA
<shrug> I almost cut my head open when my chainsaw kicked back a couple of life sentences ago. Lots of things are dangerous if one is not cautious. I got mine on a recommendation of a friend who also advised me of their bad rap. I mounted it and practiced with it and can safely pull and stow my pistol with it. I'm a little rough on stowage but I pull it out without even thinking about it, trigger finger on frame every time.

I think you need to go back to fourth grade and learn to read.
Absolutely NO WHERE in my original post to which you replied and quoted; did I say anything about the quality. design, or flaws of Serpa holsters.
I made a comment about their reputation and made a comment about how people like to mention the first video but never the follow up video.
Although you did mention the follow up video in your 2nd reply.

Which one? There are two in Franklin. I generally carry my glock openly at either of them, but I have seen a few others OC in this area.
I'm so fast, I can bump fire a bolt action.

.
For Pete's sake, it's 2021 why is anyone, anywhere still using those things?
It's a horrible design. Period, end of story, debate ended years ago. Burn them, cut them up, but don't use them as holsters.

Re: Spotted an open carrier in Franklin, PA
I was at a Lowes a few days ago and there was a guy there with an exposed automatic. It seemed so natural and low key the way he had it mounted I bet a lot of people never noticed. I am a little leery of people that just have to let you know they have a gun on them.
