Re: Looking for a new pistol
I have 20 of these mags and have been using and carrying them since they were first released. You just have to make sure you change the mag catch to a steel one also or it'll cause reliability problems. Slimline G19, problem solved.

I'm also in the cap of th e43 or 43X. I checked out a bunch of the compacts/subcompacts last week and will definitely be getting the 43X as soon as I can. Loved the size (the 43 was too small for me). And as others have said, since you are used to the 19, it makes sense
I carry a G45 for duty and plan on getting that for my personal. off duty weapon. Haivng the 43x for "light days" will be perfect.
I had the first gen Shield. Nothing wrong with it. Just didn't care for shooting it. Also there are so many more options now a days with much more capacity.

Re: Looking for a new pistol
Gonna head out shopping here soon. Hopefully I can find something, I am leaning towards the G43 since I already have a 19 and 26. Thanks for the recommendations. Pictures to follow if I find something.

I'll wait till he serves me with papers.
From the time I decided on it, till I was out the door was 15 minutes. It took her longer to dial into PICS and get through the prompts than it did to get the approval. Not sure I understand why anyone would buy a gun at Cabela's/Bass Pro and wait 4 hours when you can go to a local shop and be in and out quickly.Rules are written in the stone,
