Default Can I mail bullet castings?

I found a bunch of Hornady bullets, and I plan to sell them. I assume it's legal to mail them, since they're not really ammunition. Yet.

    Thanks

Bullets and brass can be sold and shipped anywhere in the US just like anything else you are mailing (AFAIK even to anti gun states). Primers and powder need to be shipped hazmat for extra $$$'s and some paperwork. And I would be VERY careful sending them to certain antigun states (I wouldn't ship out of state even if it was legal). That is why your best bet to put an ad in the classifieds and sell them is local.

Thanks, Walleye and Delkal! I thought as much. Since these are only the bullets, I plan to put them on the classifieds here at PAFOA.

Used ones from Philly are worth .02 for lead content, unused is higher. Pittsburgh might differ slightly

Pack them well, I ordered 4 boxes of jacketed .45's, 500 ea box, and the mail handler behind the counter dropped one of the boxes and it literally exploded when it hit the floor, they went everywhere. Took them a few hours to clean them up and they were still finding them days later.

Thanks. These are .40 S&W JHP, and they are heavy! I'll double box them.

Did the post office compensate you for the lost ones?

I wouldn't mail them to DC or NJ. As Delkal said.
