There are about 800 ways the lawsuit is BS, one of the biggest being that the sandy hook shooter did not purchase the AR he allegedly used, he murder his mother and stole hers.

This is a little-recognized problem with any insurance. The insurer can make a move that saves money et cetera, setting a precedent that puts the ensured in a losing position in other aspects of the case.

The court's declaring "should have known" could be applied to a lot of things, such as should have known the buyer of an 850 HP car would want to use the HP.

Actually he didn't murder his mother. His DNA was not found on ANY of the ammo or weapons.
A felon (name redacted) from new york DNA was on the weapons and .22lr that killed his mother.

How did the marketing or whatever influence the shooter, when the gun was purchased and owned by his mother? Even acknowledged by anti-gun organization:

"The following is a complete accounting of all the firearms, magazines, and ammunition that was available to Adam Lanza on December 14, 2012. All of this material had been legally purchased by Nancy Lanza.

    FIREARMS

    Taken to Sandy Hook Elementary:

    Izhmash Saiga 12-gauge semiautomatic shotgun
Bushmaster Model XM15-E2S .223-caliber semiautomatic rifle
    Glock 20 10mm semiautomatic handgun
Sig Sauer P226 9mm semiautomatic handgun"

I have a pencil that misspelles words. I guess I can now sue the pencil maker. Big payday.

The fact the gun(s) belonged to the purchaser/mother does not necessarily cancel the kid's being inveigled by the Remington advertising style. So much so, he was willing to commit matricide to get it. Probably a simple case of might as well take the other guns while at it.
(Just trying to fathom the idiotic "reasoning").
