They*re meant for hard duty. They close off possibilities of gas to the face, especially in SBR or suppressor use. They*re ambi, which is usually a price increase right off the bat fr a majority of reputable makers. Since you*re using a BCA paper puncher, a BCM Mod3 would be perfect. The latch is plenty large to clear scopes and mounts and give you good purchase on the latch.

    This. ^^^

Some things are worth the extra money. Some things not so much.
You are the only one who knows what you want/need.

Personally, I'm not spending more than $40 on a charging handle.
Most of mine have milspec handles because after getting two extended latch models, I was unhappy with that latch jabbing me in my chest when I have the carbine slung.
For a scoped rifle, I would use one, but unless I'm using said rifle for combat, or training, I'm picking one of the dozens of reputable brands that are not $100.

No hard duty here. BCM is what I planned to get so good to know, thanks!

I agree completely. The expensive charging handles like Radian or Giesselle, do NOTHING for the extra money. But nothing wrong with getting what you like of course. My prerequisites are material,(it must be made of 7075 Aluminum), and good machining. There are plenty of machine shops making ambi charging handles absent any manufacturers name.

I*m not a fan of side charging handles. I run a rear charging WITH a scope, no problem.
