This happened in 2007 or 2008 , I remember I went there looking for a Olive drab Ruger sr9. There was also motorcycle show that day same time . I carry a "Ken Onion " folding knife with a pocket clip which for me doubles as a money clip . It is a $70 dollar knife no way was I leaving it in a cardboard box on a card table outside the door . I remember the promoter used to send me a blue post card in advance of the show . So I ended up going back to my truck and stashing my knife . This is a true story .

Ok we can go back and forth all thread long with he said/they said. But that's to no avail. The final point is that, no matter what may or may not have been past practice, the situation you noted DOES NOT happen at this show.

Come to think of it, it doesn't happen at any show I've attended or set up for.

I've been to a number of shows , not any Harrisburg experience other than the sportsman show many years back.
Can't say i remember ever seeing a knife policy.

But neither can I say 57springer has ever made me think he was the type of fellow to go around intentionally telling tall fables.

This is the internet where sometimes those who were not there at that time and place can be quick to say how things did go .....
Some time back we "on this site" had a sponsor of a show apologize for putting zip ties on CCW's at the door.
Later that day a change was made to correct that action.
Now , I SUPPOSE had a fella come through the door in the morning and got zip tied and foolishly commented on it later ... and Joe Blow came through after noonish , I could see Joe saying how it never happened.
    But whatever

if this incident happened at the same time there was also a bike show at the complex, I could see it happening more at the bike show instead of the gun show. no gun show promoter has ever had that policy in effect at the Harrisburg show ever. dealers seem to know the show requirements and regulations better than show goers, because we have to abide by them just as attendees do. that being said, its not a big deal since it obviously is only remembered by one member and never seen by several members. regardless, it doesn't exist now and has no impact on the show this weekend.

of course....maybe the old adage is true. "dont bring a knife to a gun fight". relax everyone its a joke.

How many tables (actual as opposed to advertised) are there at this show?
