Question Target Options for 100, 200, and 300?

Joined a range and am looking forward to trying out their outdoor rifle range (as opposed to only indoor 25s before now.) What would be some good options for targets to use at 100 or 200, then also for 300 later? Am used to an AR with open sights but also have a 3x-9x scope I can use.

    I just use printable 8 1/2 × 11 .
You can choose any style you like.
I like the ones with a 2 inch red square centered and 1/4" wide vertical and horizontal black retinal lines.
    Others like circular centers.

I can no.longer see well enough with irons so everything past 50 is optic land. Red dots good to 100.but everything else ii have

A 1 inch target at 100 yards, a 2 inch target at 200 and a 3 inch target at 300 will look identical thru the scope. I use a 1 inch square for a scope at 100.

For open sights that will depend on how good your eyes are. i would say a 3 inch circle at 100 a good place to start. Military targets are even bigger.....use a 6 o'clock hold and your groups can be smaller then the target (if you are good)

One thing I might add to whatever option you choose is to put a piece of cardboard backer, especially for open sights and longer distance sighting in.

If you are off target completely, it'll show where you hit.

I also use cardboard to attach multiple targets.before walking downrange

I have a stapler which is designed to bend the staples out and away from the point of stapling.
It's one that pipe insulators use and makes removal of staples very easy.
Essentially it's to staple paper to paper and not straight through to backer plywood like regular staplers.

Also. Our hundred and 300 yard ranges have a chicken wire attachment backer so I bought bigger plastic clips to attach my cardboard to the wire.
