"Legal", as in, consistent with the plain reading of the black-letter PA statutes regarding licensing. No mental gymnastics or creative interpretations of word definitions required.

Not necessarily "Constitutional", by my personal interpretation.

I know what you meant, just showing the current laws are unconstitutional. It was nothing against you, sorry if it came across that way.

I started planning a central Pennsylvania day trip for the family in a week or two. Alas, we will plan a different day trip now.

Perry County Sheriff's office, your 2A dedication and support is really nice to see. Thank you.

My spouse is at least as angry at New Jersey as I am for a varity of reasons, so the motivation to get our house ready to be on the selling market has never been better.

You can purchase possess and transport hollowpoints within the statutory restrictions. To the range and back is fine. Riding around with them in your car is not. Using them in your home in a self-defense situation is fine also (this one gets all kinds of Internet drivel).

If you are going to post about NJ laws, at least do us the favor of reading the statutes and understanding them first. Things are bad enough here, we don't need people spreading dis-information.

    Adios,

Yo Pizza Bob, please explain all the people that were arrested at Newark airport that had to lay over at a flea bag motel waiting for a flight that got popped for having a legal weapon in cases? Explain all the people that got popped on the NJTP legally carrying their firearms. Explain all the people that got popped just traveling thru that got popped. NJ is a shithole when it comes to legal gun ownership, you might try coming to Pa. and learn what it*s like to walk in the door of a gun shop and walk out with the weapon of you choice in 15 minutes. Hey 20 bucks got me a LTCF without kissing some politicians ass.

Oh by the way, I had the unfortunate please to live in NJ for 35 years.

Have a nice and enjoy your stay in PRNJ.

Forget about the mere cessation of issuance. As the law currently stands, the sheriff acted in error, and SHOULD revoke all LTCFs issued on the recognition of the Jersey FOID.

I will make the assumption that New Jersey folks here would much rather have it at least the Pennsylvania way. It totally sucks to have to follow "exceptions" to the laws since the legal system in New Jersey takes the stance that we own firearms "at our own peril" which I believe is how one of the judges in this state said it.

That being said, I think we're just trying to make the best of a lousy situation with the few options available. I'm game for moving for a variety of reasons, including to help vote for a (hopefully!) decent republican governor in 2022.
