Exactly. The reason people say the 380 is "snappy" is probably because they have been shooting it out of a 12oz gun with a tiny grip, like an LCP. The science says there is no way a 380 is as snappy as a 9mm if shot out of similar firearms, it's just not possible.

I would NOT put a Hogue sleeve or tape.. Just my .02 look for something else.. I have no issue with it..
I see no reason to get an EZ of any sort and disable the grip safety, since that's kind of its thing. Same goes for a 1911 or an XDm. But, if someone wants to go that route, that's their prerogative.

I have a Walther PP in .380. Even though it is steel and has considerable weight, I find the .380 quite snappy. So much so, that it is not fun to shoot.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Odd. I've a little Browning 1911-380 and a Glock 42 and they both seem quite mild.

I put 50 rounds through my LCP yesterday.. Would have shot more but that was all the 380 I brought ... I know people have shot mine and said it was snappy.. Guess it's all what you make of it

I bought my wife (rookie shooter with bad hands) an EZ 9. She felt it was snappy but the only gun she didn't feel was snappy was my little Walther 22 pistol. I shot a couple of mags through it, felt it was a nice little gun, sites aren't bad, trigger pretty good. I would get the 9 as well as another gentlemen recommended. This isn't striker fired, it's internal hammer if that matters to you. This is coming from a guy that prefers metal, hammer fired pistols, especially czs and Berettas. Anyhow I'd recommend, i have sold it because she didn't really like it but i thought it was a fine shooter, good price as well. Grip safety is fine as well, no need to worry about that.

I agree the 9mm would be better , BUT:....I felt the 380EZ to have less felt recoil .. and thats what the OP wanted.. the same reason my wife went with the 380.. its a bigger gun than the LCP's etc's so i think that little bit of weight helps make it less snappy.

I've had many .380s and they're all different in recoil.

Had a PPK clone (made in Romania) that was just painful to shoot, actually made me bleed with slide bite too.

Traded that in on a Bersa Thunder that has almost no recoil and I can hit bulleyes all day with. My most accurate shooter.

I have a LCP that I've tamed down with spring replacements that's still snappy and hard to shoot accurately, but I carry it for it's concealment benefit.

Wife has a LC380 that's pretty easy to shoot.

It's one extreme or the other with 380s in my experience.
