    Default Late season elk regulations

I can't seem to find what legal arms are for the Jan 1-8th season. Is it like deer late season, flintlock/archery only?

I can't seem to find anything on this on the game commission website or hunters book.

    Thanks

Read the "elk" section, first paragraph "Arms and ammunition", all weapons specified may be used , no delimiter for specific seasons are made so the specified weapons are all legal

I wish, just wanted to verify before I threw my name in the hat.

Okay I did read that, just wasn't sure if it applied to the late season or just general firearm season.

Here's to hoping I'm a lucky pa elk virgin and get in the first time.

Last year, I got a cow elk in Wheatland Wy. The young guide and I muscled the cow (275 as per the processor) into the back of his tundra.

275 is fucking heavy. I asked the guide if he ever considered a hitch crane. He said no.

I had to get help last year for a deer I shot. and was going to weld a crane until I saw one for 129 or 139 bucks.

I'm taking this to wheatland for this years cow elk hunt.

I think its listed as 38 pounds or so. I'll put a stabilizer trailer jack on the horizontal leg.

Getting old and weak is a bitch but, I'm still on the green side so life is good. So are elk steaks.
Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

Seen some slammer pictures of some elk taken right here in Pa. New state record is one that I*ve seen on a friends phone.
