I cover many miles in PA, OH, and IN, and I see many splattered deer.

Re: FAWN EXPLOSION POPULATION !
Splattered deer= less available to hunt. (Except for the PRNJ, where a splattered doe is needed before you can shoot a buck).
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Re: FAWN EXPLOSION POPULATION !
One of the deer that my wife feeds is a little forkhorn buck she named *Nubs*. I was walking T-Bone, my dog, in the park behind my house and a neighbor lady and I were talking and I saw Nubs standing in the woods. I said, * Howdy Nubs, you want some breakfast?* He came running out of the woods, walked to within 8* of us and then headed to the tree stump where the wife puts out the corn.
The neighbor stood there with her mouth hanging open, shocked that the deer has a name and knows it. She asked how I knew it*s name. *It*s on his little tag!*
I swear even T-Bone was grinning as we walked away.
I haven*t seen any fawns yet this summer, even though there were at least four that were clearly pregnant this Spring.

I haven't counted, but the fawn population here seems normal. They will be tasty by fall.
Boy, I say boy, you're reaching the limits of my medication!

Re: FAWN EXPLOSION POPULATION !
We did see 3 fawns and a doe at a forum member's farm last week. A little later saw a large doe run across the road in front of us.
