Looking to have choke tube installed
I have a Savage 24 in 22 mag/ 20 gauge that I would like to have choke tube put into.
Anyone have a suggestion for the York/ Harrisburg area?

Re: Looking to have choke tube installed
It might not be possible, the barrel has to have a certain wall thickness to be threaded and a lot of single shots are too thin.

Re: Looking to have choke tube installed
I have a Savage 24 in .22 wmr/20 ga. also, which I used to use for Fall Turkey hunting, then I bought a Savage 24 in .223/12 ga. that was the ultimate Turkey gun but, heavy as hell. I used the .223/12 to take several Fall gobblers over the last 15 years and traded it this past Winter to another PAfoa member. FYI, in this June's Pennsylvania Game News, page 49, the PA Game Commission has now outlawed single projectile centerfire and rimfire firearms and ammunition for Fall turkey hunting statewide.
The Savage .22/20 ga. is still a great small game and varmint gun. It is no longer a great choice for Fall Turkey hunting, it is still legal to use, however you better not get caught with any single projectile ammunition in your posession.

Re: Looking to have choke tube installed
I am not a turkey hunter but I found the gun with a peep sight installed and it makes it a fine squirrel gun. I shoot the WInchester 22 mag sub-sonic ammo out of it.
The tubes would allow me to shoot slugs for deer season as well
