Any Good Pittsburgh Shops?
Heading to the Burgh this weekend. Any good Gun / Ammo / Reloading shops in the Pittsburgh area to check out. If it's within an hour drive of Pittsburgh, let me know.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Any Good Pittsburgh Shops?
In my area, the two that I think would be worth a visit are Federal Firearms in Oakdale and Allegheny Arms in Bethel Park. Both always have good selections, reasonable pricing, and have treated me well in the past.
Just to rattle off a few others that I pop into if I happen to be driving by:
John Brown's Armory (Good selection of new/used firearms and pretty much the only place around with milsurps. I've bought a couple guns off them, but more often than not, I see something I like and walk away because of the price.)
National Armory (Good selection, but lots of covid related upcharging that I've noticed as of recent.)
Shaw Precision (Good guys, have bought stuff from them in the past, but what limited inventory they have is viewable online so I don't find myself stopping in very often.)
Ace Sporting Goods (Massive selection, but constantly busy, and buying stuff here can take an extended amount of time.)
Dukes, Island Firearms, Big Bucks (Been quite some time some time since I've been to any of these three, but I figured I'd throw them out there as well.)

I like Keystone Shooting Center. No super deals/steals, but a good normal amount of accessories, usually has stuff in stock. Also a pretty nice indoor range as well.

Re: Any Good Pittsburgh Shops?
for a while (maybe still?) Ace had the largest inventory and did the most sales on the east coast or something.

Re: Any Good Pittsburgh Shops?
My 2 cents worth of recommendations (like some others have posted already)
South: Allegheny Arms, and farther south Ace's
North: Keystone Shooting Center, and farther north Duke'sTomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

Re: Any Good Pittsburgh Shops?
Thanks all for the info. I made the trek down to Ace's. Nice place. Huge selection. Place was busy. I'd consider it the "Tanner's" of western PA, based on their selection, if anyone has ever visited Tanner's in Eastern PA. Prices seemed in line, but nothing to right home about. Ammo prices were Meh - again, I guess in line with everyone else, but I'm always looking for a deal - which in this market, is very hard to come by. Was hoping to find some powder. Reloading shelfs were picked over.
I was hoping to hit one or two others listed, but didn't get the time. I did stop in at the Sportsman's Warehouse across the street from Ace's. We don't have them in Eastern PA. Didn't find anything there either.
Thanks again to all the responded.

Re: Any Good Pittsburgh Shops?
Old thread, sorry, newst I could search for re: Shaw's... But serious question:
What do folks think about Shaw's in Bridgeville?
I've been a few times, guys seem great.... small shop, but I'm interested in one of their higher-end pre-built AR's. They have an awesome salesman who's been very helpful (in a non-salesy way...)....F*S=k

Remember what your mom used to tell you "If you have nothing good to say, then keep your pie-hole shut." Pretty much sums it up for me.
Good things that there are other FFL in the greater Pittsburgh area (I've visited over 40 within a 90 minute drive from the Burgh, so one does have options... if he/she wants them.)Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.
