It's an 80% complete frame. Since it isn't a firearm, it doesn't require a serial number or a transfer through an FFL. Buyers complete the remaining work on the frames, then add/assemble the parts after the frame is complete. Most popular are Glock gen 3 frames, and AR15 frames.

According to the legend of Sleepy Joe, these diabolical frames cause countless numbers of people to commit crimes that they otherwise would never have committed. Often, the unwitting buyers of the frames would have been going to school to be doctors or lawyers. Yet, these frames pervert the otherwise gentle nature of the buyers, causing them to commit heinous acts. Very scary stuff.

Ghost gun is the new gun control wording that replaces assault weapon that replaced Saturday Night Special. Control the language and control the narrative. It's communism 101.

First, I am NOT a lawyer so this is NOT legal advice just conjecture. That said, the "ghost gun" concept as gun control is not "new", though more recent news in PA. And since BATF is so enamored with the meaning of words, perhaps we should watch our grammar.

As I understand it, when I build a serialized Glock lower, or AR lower in my basement, adding commercially available manufactured parts, I am assembling it. These are concepts we don't want to conflate, or others to mis-define, as manufacturing... what I believe they now define the effect of taking an 80% block of un-serialized plastic or aluminum and drilling, machining, etc. to reach 100% and then adding parts to complete the assembly for personal ownership and use. JMHO and 2 pennies.
