    Yup, you're under no requirement to let the ASSessor inside. We've never let the in. According to their records, we don't have a kitchen.

    Sent my questionnaire back without number of rooms blank just like they sent it to me, let*s see what the asshats do.

    I know, my taxes are going up.

    The farmer that I know got a visit from tax assessor. He came with aerial pictures of the farmers home showing a roof was put over his wood pile. I guess his taxes are going up for the new roof.

    Most likely that property was not reassessed in a long time and you were under charged over those years.


    When they were reassessing Monroe county the tax collector said that 1/3 were going up, 1/3 were going down and 1/3 stay the same. Mine actually went down, so we were overcharged over the years. .

    I appealed my assessment. They just assessed all the houses the same. Townhouses. Some have yards, some have additional parking, finished basements half baths. They are not all the same. My taxes went down.
    Sticks and stones will break my bones but hollow points expand on impact.
