Default What is this part called? (Photo on Mosin Nagant)

Does anyone know exactly what this metal part in the sling cut out is called? I’m looking for two of them and having no luck. I was thinking if I knew exactly what it was called I could refine my search. Thank you.

There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Are you sure you need them? Some years of production didn't include them at all.

1945 M44. My friend just won one on gun broker. It hasnt arrived yet but from the pictures it clearly has them upfront but not in the butt stock.

Those wouldn't be correct for it anyway, since only the early mosins use the pattern with the screws. I would still bet that it was one that was made without but didn't get them installed on the butt during refurb for whatever reason.

Roger that. When I went to the eBay link though I did find the press in ones. I did a little research and the 1945 Ivhevsks seem to be hit or miss having them installed so it turns out he probably doesn*t need them anyway.
