The next two cycles we really need to focus on getting good replacements for casey and toomey. We need some kick ass senators. Toomey and casey are about as useless as tits on a boar hog.

Toomey has gotten the message that I don't like him and is throwing in the towel. Let us pray that we get a good replacement, there are several good candidates. Casey on the other hand...he can go too.

Unfortunately for the two dipshits (Toomey/Casey, same party as far as I am concerned) people keep voting them in year after year. The parties they are tied to keep nominating them year after year. I fail to see how the Republicans are sick of Toomey. They keep shoveling him into that spot.

Stop right at the point where they say 'but'. That is all that you need to understand that the respondee is for the destruction of our rights.

Yeah, been five days now and haven't received the canned response after this autoreply. I guess since he's out the door soon, his staff are busy sitting around on their collective ass retweeting profound and insightful AOC comments.

    JULY 15, 2021

Toomey to Oppose Chipman for ATF

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) released the following statement announcing his plan to oppose David Chipman’s nomination to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF):

“Meaningful progress on gun safety will only be possible when members of Congress and the executive branch drop the politics and hyperbole and focus on the possible.

That likely will not happen if the ATF—the law enforcement agency tasked with enforcing the nation’s firearm laws—cannot be impartial in carrying out its duties.

While I respect David Chipman’s nearly 25 years of experience as an ATF agent, I fear that his subsequent vocal support for policies that limit the rights of law-abiding gun owners and his past criticisms of those in the firearm industry would compromise his ability to carry out ATF’s mission effectively.

As such, I am unable to support his nomination to lead the ATF.”

I'm quite surprised. I don't think any other R's will vote for him, especially since Susan Collins came out as a nay vote, and Murkowski is going to be in for quite a fight so I doubt she'd vote for him. Romney might just because he's clearly a dick. On the other side, I think Manchin and Tester would be cutting their own throats, or at least I hope they see it that way. I'm feeling a bit optimistic... This guy has absolutely no business working for ATF, let alone running it.

Toomey is far from being a turncoat.

He has consistently endorsed left leaning anti-constitution, anti-american policies. Just another swamp creature...
