Shooting glasses
What glasses are you wearing when shooting?
Brand?
Model?
Polarized?
Looking for a new pair.

Re: Shooting glasses
A. Any brand that fits and is reasonably priced.
B. The model that fits and is reasonably priced.
C. No need to be polarized, especially when sighting through an optical sight (you are keeping both eyes open, right?).
The issue that skews all of the above (with the exception of "C"), is if you need "shooting glasses" with a correction.
If you can see it, shoot it!

Re: Shooting glasses
This. I have a pair of shatter-proof prescription shooting glasses.
I'm 'farsighted'... without glassses I can see the target fine, but my sights are just a blur. If I want target/range level accuracy, I need the 'scrip. Basically with 'glasses' & 12x12 targets I can shoot nice groups in the inner rings. Without I can hit the paper, but that's about it.
So in a home-invader type emergency, I can shoot well enough to take him out even if I don't manage to put on my glasses. Yet another reason to shoot 'center of mass' versus some Biden-esque crap like 'shoot 'em in the leg'...DGAF

Re: Shooting glasses
Bollé Keelback polarized with Realtree camo frame.
$19.99 from Dance’s sporting goods on Fleabay. They sold out after having them in stock for a few years.
They make a bunch of different models that are polarized or not, with ballistic lenses that are >$50 if you shop around.Accuse your enemy of what you are doing as you are doing it to create confusion -Karl Marx

ESS Crossbow AF. They're supposedly designed for asian faces.

Re: Shooting glasses
I have a couple pairs of Oakley ballistic glasses that I like. Also, their Prism lenses are great.

Re: Shooting glasses
I don't remember the model, but I also use ESS brand. I bought some kind of package deal with clear glasses, tinted glasses, and a case. You can bend the arms to fit you perfectly. Also, the arms are very slim, so they don't break the seal with ear pro very much. I don't get any distortion looking through optics either.

Re: Shooting glasses
Mine are just from Walmart, they work fine.
Spent a little more once on a nicer pair from Gander before they started acting like anti-gun jerks...they broke and the cheapos are still going.
I prefer yellow lenses. Have smoked too, but wife usually likes those.Galations 6:9...And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Re: Shooting glasses
Special pair of prescription glasses. Bifocals (progressive) with the lens upside down. Instead of tilting my head back to see the close sights, I tilt down, using the reading portion of the lens, which is now at the top.

A - HuntersHDGold (http://huntershdgold.com)
B - Gauge
C - No, they are transition
These may be expensive, but they work and are phenomenal in all shooting conditions. Plus the company stands behind their products 100%. I had a pair that got scratched, they replaced them at no cost.
