LTCF SSN?
So the box for SSN on the LTCF form says that it's optional, but it also says elsewhere on the instructions that "incomplete" forms will be automatically rejected.
Call me paranoid, but govt at all levels is notorious for gotchas like this - is it really "optional," is there anyone here who can verify that they left the SSN field blank and was still approved?"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." Theodore Roosevelt

Re: LTCF SSN?
I've never filled it out here in Lancaster. Never got rejected.

Re: LTCF SSN?
Last renewal in Bucks I put my last 4 digits. The first thing the guy at the desk was to fill out the whole number.
This was in May last year when just about every other sheriffs office was closed so I didn't question it. Probably still wouldn't......Just give me my LTCF.

Re: LTCF SSN?
That is what I thought so it wasn't an issue for me and you need to pick your battles. Like I mentioned i just wanted my LTCF and I was out in 20 min.
I don't think the Sheriffs are doing a harvest of SS numbers of everyone applying for a LTCF. They are just checking it against the number they already have in the system.

Re: LTCF SSN?
Sometimes I put the last 4 digits just so they know it's me, but with my last name, I highly doubt it's needed.

Re: LTCF SSN?
If my name was John Smith i would put my ssn, to stop confusion with the John Smith criminals. i have a pretty unique ladt name. I am 55 and only met one other person with my last name that was not my brother so i did not put it on the form.

Re: LTCF SSN?
If you're concerned the Sheriff will claim that the form is incomplete, just write OPTIONAL in that space. Same goes with Employer information. Use N/A as often as you want.

Re: LTCF SSN?
My wife and I just renewed ours last week. SSN was left blank on both applications.
