Not from me. I couldn't hand over $685 fast enough!

    I wouldn't have paid Midway's pricing.

Why not? Geo Metros run forever if you take care of them. They're stupid simple to work on and you can swap parts from other cars to enhance their performance. And just like a .30 carbine, I have no interest in getting hit by one.

I made a half-hearted effort at getting an IBM this morning. Had it in my cart and the cart crashed (triggers some Eric Clapton in my head) and they were gone by the time I got back in.

Probably just as well, I doubt that I had $2,000 worth of good memories to recall from my IBM career. ;-)

Now that is a more realistic price. I get the whole history thing. I have a lot of old milsurps and appreciate them for what they are. There is just no way I would pay more for a M1Carbine than an M1 Garand. To me, they are just not worth the going rate these days. That is compounded by ammo prices and availability.

    YMMV/whatever floats your boat.

Got a ‘44 IBM at home courtesy of my late father.

I assume midway has more and will eventually restock but you have to be faster next time if you want one. This batch sold out in 4 hours. The biggest question is how long will the rarer manufacturers last.

Spoke to the actual importer this afternoon. He told me Midway got about 2800 rifles. When they went on sale this morning they had 4400 orders in the first few hours.
