    Congrats, they really are a fun gun to shoot. I bet they shipped it to your door using the gun show loop hole too.

    Winchester, it was the second highest grade i think very good to fine.

    Low wood, rotary safety , oval oiler , straight stock ( not humpback) late war adjustable sights and no bayonet lug . Nice looking carbine *.what manufacture ?

    It*s a neat story *Winchester patented the Carbine but wasn*t the most prolific manufacturer. They had resources tied up in manufacturing the Garand . Hence the reason all the other contractors were chosen to assist in making it.

    Here's pages that have the data and statistics for the M1 Carbine. Inland Manufacturing was the largest producer of the carbine.
