    Exclamation Pistol safe options?

What is everyone using for a pistol safe? Looking for something that doesn't cost a fortune
Ruger LCR will be going in it

I've used the GunVault Microvault MV500-STD. I have the cable wrap around the support braces inside the nightstand, although it's more a deterrent than anything. I've really liked it, it's easy and fast to get into - the only thing thats tough is if you don't have a deep drawer it's a narrow space do you get your hand into.

The night stand. It's safe there.

Have a Gun Vault too. The larger one with a shelf.
    Not biometric.
I chose it for the button style keypad so it can be opened without looking at numbers or needing a key.

I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

I've got the standard Gun Vault, bolted to the bottom of the nightstand.

I have the Walmart knockoff of the GunVault with a shelf.

Honestly though, if I had to buy another one, Fort Knox has a mechanical combo lock box. No batteries required, brand know for being well built. I find the electronic lock on my safe picky about me having to fully release a button before pushing the next one.

Those tubular locks are easy to pick.

I have the one like Emptymag. I have the deluxe version, which also uses an AC adapter as well as battery.

Not a fan of biometric locks. Simplex locks are the way to go, but I prefer a backup of some sort in case the Simplex lock fails. The Brute from V-Line and the Fort Knox safes are top notch, and American made, but they have no backup should the Simplex lock fail. And if you read the reviews on both, the lock has failed.

I bought a couple of these Awesafe lock boxes. They have biometric, mechanical touch pad, and a key. It's not going to stop a determined thief, but it will keep nosy folks at bay.

If you know how to pick them. It's fine. I'm not going to spend more on the lock box than the gun is worth.

These things are meant to be a deterrent, not to prevent a determined thief.
