Re: Issues with p80 Glock kit, not fully returning to battery
Yes, I'm going to open up the channel a bit more. Since putting the pins in, the plastic sort of turned white around the pin that goes directly under the channel. So I was a little worried about taking too much more out of the bottom and risking exposing that pin within the channel. I think if I clean up the sides of the channel, that might help too. I tried not to take too much out of channel. Maybe it wasn't enough.

i've learned that, while these are easy to get going, you gotta really take your time and clean up everything to make them work 100%.

Theres a sea of videos on YouTube from shit to good, but I found this guy to be decent for troubleshooting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKNtvcw-K-g
Also make sure the backplate is on right. Have seen that cause issues when not 100% in right.

Re: Issues with p80 Glock kit, not fully returning to battery
I only use Factory Glock barrels & recoil springs when building these. Almost every other part I use is Shadow Systems stock replacements. I don*t use ANY P80 parts save for the frame itself. Can*t expect this one company to make ALL good parts. And frankly, I don*t have much faith in their barrels. As early as beginning of 2020, these barrels were available for under $100!
It*s always best to research & source parts trim different places. No one company makes all the best quality. I love P80 frames....they hit the nail on the head with these. They are actually BETTER polymer than factory Glock frames. But their slides, barrels & finishing parts? Well, not so much.
My everyday carry gun for like a year & a half now.

Wonder what percentage of gendarmes would freak confronting a ghost gun like that.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Re: Issues with p80 Glock kit, not fully returning to battery
Well, I finally made time to tinker with this some more. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the ejector was rubbing on the slide due to a riser left from the stamping process. Polished the top and inside of the ejector with 400, then 800 grit diamond sanding pads, just enough to remove the risers. Took a little polishing on the front frame rail as that was also a bit too tight. Now the slide seems to close without binding anymore.
I'm going to order 2 factory g19 mags and try those to see if they help. I noticed the magazine follower was pushing up slightly on the slide release with 1 round in the mag. Just enough to catch the slide. I'm thinking my slide stop may need some tweaking up, where it contacts the mag follower. I will set that with the factory mags, and it should be good.
